'Great Asian Food' has always been my go-to Asian cook book. A comprehensive collection of all types of Asian food (Chinese, Japanese, South-East Asian, and Indian), there are hundreds of very different recipes. From 10 minute stir frys to complex Peking Duck, from light and fresh Japanese dishes to heavily flavoured curries, there is great variety here. The book is divided into sections based on nationality for easy reference. There are also sections covering basic utensils, ingredients, and Asian cooking techniques. Some of my personal "success stories" from this book include Mongolian Lamb, Vietnamese Claypot Chicken, Malaysian Chicken Satay, and Thai Larb. The Mongolian and Satay in particular are superior to any variation I have had in takeaway restaurants or pre-packaged sauces...highly recommended! In short, just a great cook book. Five stars.
