I got these for a project involving crocheted flowers, so the size & practicality aren't important to me. I can see how they may not work well for traditional food storage or whatever it was they were originally intended to be used for, but they work for me. I like the smaller ones for my projects, and the larger ones will be good for storing small craft items, such as buttons, beads, etc. I also swap yarn with other crafters, and we usually put the skein(s) in ziploc bags before inserting them into a mailing envelope. The larger bags may work well for that. Whatever you are going to use them for, they are definitely fun. I gave them 5 stars for "Value" because of my purpose, but I don't know if I'd buy them in lieu of storage bags as it's not very economical.
