A lot can fit on each of the shelves and it looks nicer than I thought it would. I understand what people are saying about it seeming flimsy. That's what I thought when I was putting it together. But once it's built, it feels solid and can take a lot of weight.Yes, the instructions are pretty bad. I was able to figure it out, like some others mentioned, but it took more time to build than it should have. I can see why some people were missing pieces. My box had three sets of the hardware! And one of the sets had a wrench that must go with some other completely different piece of furniture.Directions:1) Put panels A and C together, but you won't use any screws. The side panels will slide into place snugly. When you install the shelves, you will use the "H" screws and this is what keeps the whole frame firmly together. (I don't know why a include a "Component B" is included in the written instructions -- there is no component B.)2) Screw in the wheels or "feet", whichever you prefer, on the bottom of both A/C side panels.3) Use an allen wrench and the "H" screws (bigger scews) to attach the bottom shelf to the A/C side panels.4) Now you can stand up the shelf unit. Slide one of the opaque/see-through backings (which are the same on both sides, unlike the -doors- for the shelf unit), into the grooves on the back side of the shelf unit.5) Keep going, attaching first a shelf, then the backing, until all shelves and backings are installed. ***Note: don't tighten the screws all the way until you've installed all of the shelves and backings.6) Tighten all of the screws, working your way from bottom to top and side to side, one shelf at a time.7) Add the small, rectangular self-stick pads to the metal tabs on the shelving unit, which the doors will hit up against when you close them.8) Screw the knobs onto the doors of the shelving unit using a Phillips screwdriver. **Note: If you can't see a hole in which to put the screw, slide the opaque plastic part of the door up, down and sideways, until you find and line-up the pre-made hole.9) Slide the doors into the grooves above each shelf.Fyi: The photo on Amazon seemed to show that the doors for the shelves are mostly opaque. Although they're not completely clear, you can completely see through them.Hope this helps!
